Here are three ways to deal with anger:
1) Anger the sort of energy that dissipates when you do deep breathing
2) If anger comes from the past see it for what it is: a familiar face from the past that you do not like in your present. See it as a foreign object outside of yourself and keep watching it; there comes a moment that it has dissolved
3) Make a conscious effort to stay present with your real self and do not allow yourself to fall back (relapse) into your old Substitute-Sense-of-Self-oriented behavior
